Mufti-e-Azam Madhya Pradesh
Mufti-e Azam Madhya Pradesh or Grand Mufti of Madhya Pradesh is the senior most and most influential Muslim personality in Madhya Pradesh. Hazrat Mufti Burhanul Haq Jabal puri (Burhan-e-Millat) was the first Mufti e Azam of Madhya Pradesh. The current incumbent is Mufti Dr. Hamid Ahmad Siddiqui. Allama Mahmood Ahmed Qadri preceded him.
Burhan-e-Millat
Hazrat Allama Mufti Burhanul Haque Jabal puri known as Burhan-e-Millat was the first grand mufti of Madhya Pradesh after its formation in 1956. He was the Khalifa of Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Fazil-e-Barelvi. Dargah of Hazrat Burhan-e-Millat is in Aga Chowk, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Every year people congregate at dargah e Burhan e Millat to celebrate Urs.
His ancestry is related to Hazrat Abubakar Siddique RadiAllahuanhu. His forefather Shah Abdul Wahab Siddique had migrated to India With Nawab Salabat Jung Bahaddur during Sultanate of Aasifiya from Taif to Deccan (Hyderabad). Shah Siddique was appointed as Imam of Mecca Masjid under the kingdom of Aasifiya. His another forefather Hazrat Abdul Karim was also a respected scholar of his time. His father, Shah Abdussalam Jabal puri (Rahmatullah Alaih) was the beloved Khalifa of Mujaddid Imam Ahmed Raza Khan.
Hazrat Burhan e Millat was born in 21 Rabiul Awwal, 1310 Hijri or 13 October 1894 A. D in highly scholastic religious atmosphere. His Bismillah Sharif was performed in 1315 Hijri. He received his primary education in his hometown of Jabalpur. His teachers include Imam Ahmed Raza Khan, Maulvi Abdur Rahman Afghani, Maulvi Abdussalaam, Maulvi Abdul Kareem, Qari Bashiruddin, Maulvi Jalal Ameer Peshavari, later he moved to Bareilly Sharif for receiving the blissful company of Mujaddid Ahmed Raza Khan; there he used to record various fatwas of Aala Hazrat along with attending Dars of Maulvi Zahurul Hasan Rampuri (the then Chief Mudarris of Manzar e Islam). He spent 3 years in the company of Aala Hazrat and received permission in 45 fields of knowledge (Uloom e Funoon) and 11 Sufi orders in Jabalpur on 26 Jamadiul Akhir along with Khilafat in 1335 Hijri. According to Gulam Rabbani Fida, Imam Ahmed Raza Khan accepted Burhan e Millat as his spiritual son (Ruhani Beta). His collection of "Naat" was published as Jazbaat e Burhan.
He was among the founders of Darul uloom Nadwatul ulama, but later separated from it due to various disagreements. He was one of the important member of Nadwatul ulama in 1312 Hijri. 26 Rabiul awwal 1405 Hijri (20 December 1984) is the Wisal date of Hazrat Burhan e Millat.
Mufti Mahmood Ahmed Qadri
Mufti-e-Azam Madhya Pradesh Allama Mufti Mahmood Ahmed Qadri was the noble son of Burhan-e-Millat. This 90 years old noble personality played an important role in maintaining the harmony of the city. Being a man of superior thinking and a spontaneous personality, he always gave the message that man can only progress with mutual harmony and communication. He always told that it is necessary for everyone to work together to progress the city. Mahmood Ahmed Qadri’s soul united with Allah in Jabalpur on Thursday 22 February 2018. Many well-wishers and social activists reached his residence at Maulana Gali, Kotwali. Public representatives and administration officials reached and paid tribute to Mufti E Azam Madhya Pradesh. Social workers Vinod Sharma and Akhilesh Tripathi said the city will always miss Mufti e Azam Madhya Pradesh and his works to develop the society.
Fatwa
Maulana Mehmood Ahmed Qadri had issued a fatwa against 8 people of the Muslim community who joined Narmada Seva Yatra on April 17 in Jabalpur and chanted "Narmada Maiya".
Mufti Allama Dr. Hamid Ahmed Siddiqui
Mufti e Azam Madhya Pradesh Mufti Hamid was in a broadcast about his appeal on COVID-19. Hazrat Maulana Mohammed Hamid Ahmad Siddiqui appealed to the Muslim religious leaders to say that we should take precautions to avoid the global epidemic of Corona virus in the Holy month of Ramadan. He appealed to not congregate in the mosque for the namaz, offer namaz at home. Mufti e Azam appealed not to collect people by organizing Iftar-e-Aam. For those who want to have an Iftar party, make a packet of iftari and send it to poor. Mufti-e-Azam Madhya Pradesh Hazrat Maulana Mohammed Hamid Ahmad Siddiqui appealed to offer taravih in the house itself. He further continued, to avoid virus infection, follow the restrictions imposed by the administration. He continued to give full support to the team coming home to check health. Give whatever information you ask, so they can give you the correct advice and ignore the rumors going on social media. On the occasion of Eid ul Fitr 2020 during corona virus pandemic Mufti E Azam Madhya Pradesh had appealed masses to stay home and do their prayers at home itself except 5 namazi to do prayer in Eidgah. While protesting CAA NRC Bill Mufti e Azam Madhya Pradesh quoted,
“India is our nation. Many Muslim have sacrificed their lives in the war of independence. Islam gives a straightforward message of loving our country. For the honour, pride of the nation, everybody is ready to sacrifice their blood, flesh and soul. But CAA and NRC bill are not at all acceptable as these bills are against the basic principles of the Indian Constitution.”

On Ayodhya land dispute case
On the decision of a supreme court on the Ayodhya land dispute case, mufti appealed the Muslims to keep patience and to accept the decision of Supreme court. He asserted that the Supreme court verdict has ended this issue forever.
Mufti-e-Malwa
Mufti Rizwan-ur-Rahman Farooqi was known as Mufti E Azam Malwa. Allama Hafiz Qari Alhaj Muhammad Habib yar Khan Qadri Barkati succeeded him as Mufti e Azam Malwa. Allama Habib yar Khan Qadri was the son-in-law of Mufti Rizwan-ur-Rahman Farooqi.
