Musa Suhag
💎Hazrat Musa Suhag Majzoob Suhrawardy Rahmatullah Aalaih was the highly respected Sunni, Sufi Majzoub (Saint) from Ahmedabad, India. His Silsila e bayah meet with Sayyad Jamal Mujjarad Sauji Rahmatullah Alaih. He was the Murid of Shah Sikandarpur and the founder of Silsila, "Musa Shahi Sada Suhag" (Sada Suhagiya Silsila).
Birth and Early Life
He was born around 1391 Hijri, or in 1415 A. D. He received his formal education in Delhi and later become the Islamic teacher in the same Madrasa in Delhi.
From a typical traditional Alim to Musa Suhag
According to some scholar, when he saw the glimpse of Allah Subhana hu wa Ta ala (Tajalli), he went to the graveyard and shaved his beard, moustache, apply bindi on his forehead. After finding Musa Suhag in this attire, Ulema tried to punish him (as he was going against Islam by adopting the feminine attire) by putting the molted lead in his mouth, but there was no effect of the lead in the mouth of Hazrat Musa Suhag, this event was seen as one of the many miracles of the saint.
Lifestyle
Most of the historians mentioned that he used to wear Red (Surkh) clothes and bangles and live in a group, and used to migrate from one place to another doing the Wird'' Laa ilaha Ilaa Allah'', (some mentioned Illa Allah). He went to Ahmedabad under the reign of Ahmed Shah, once some Mullah asked Musa Suhag to leave his feminine attire and go to mosque to perform Friday's prayer, he quietly went to mosque by dressing himself in the white masculine attire to offer Namaz, when Allahu Akbar echoes, all of his clothes turned red (miracle), as he restored his own original attire, to which he said,
Mera Khawind Hayyi Laa Yamoot Hai, Kabhi na Marega,
ye, Mujhe, Bewa Kiye Phirte Hai.
In this statement, he wanted to say that his Maalik (Almighty) is immortal and these mullahs can't separate him from his lord (Allah).
Clarification
Salafis, deobandis or Wahhabis barks on the legacy of Hazrat Musa Suhag because of their ignorance for the meaning of the term "Khawind" which means "Malik" or "Lord" and whereas dictionary meaning for, "Bewa" is separated. Those poorly literate Salafis or Deobandis believe that Musa Suhag and his followers, (Sufi Barelvis, according to them) call Allah as Husband of Musa Suhag which is clearly false and a mischief to defame the Ahle Sunnat Wal jamat. Neither Musa Suhag nor Ahle sunnat Wal jamat believe Allah as the husband of Musa Suhag.
Wisal and Mazar of Hazrat Musa Suhag
28 August 1649/1475 A. D or 10 Rajab, 853 Hijri, was the date of Wisal of Hazrat Musa Suhag. When Hazrat Shah e Alam Sohrawardy Rahmatullah alaih received the news of his Wisal, he ordered his muridain to perform the last rites of his contemporary per Islamic traditions, he had also ordered his muridain to bury him with his bangles which he used to wear in his lifetime (according to the saying of prophet (peace be upon him), that one will be raised on the day of judgement as one has lived in the worldly life). Shah Alam Rahmatullah Alaih also ordered his Muridain to conceal his grave since Musa Suhag didn't want to show off his Spiritual Maqam in his lifetime.
Some scholars mentioned, as people became aware of his spiritual station (Walayat), he went away from the chaos of the world and asked the land to take him inside, so accordingly the land divided and he went underground, his muridains also followed him accordingly. To hide from the greedy world, he changed his location 4 times, and the 5th time he ordered the land to get close, so accordingly 4 mazar of Musa Suhag was constructed in Shahibagh of Ahmedabad.
